INGREDIENTS

Dough

350 g Prima Doughnut Mix
190 ml Water
As desired Vegetable Oil (For frying)

Custard Filling

270 g Instant Custard Powder
730 ml Chilled Water
100 g Chocolate Paste
20 g Strawberry Jam

PROCEDURE

Custard Filling

  1. In a mixing bowl with a whisk attachment, mix instant custard powder and chilled water for 2 – 3 minutes or until a smooth custard is formed.
  2. Divide into 3 equal portions. Combine 1 portion with chocolate paste and another with strawberry jam. Set aside all portions in the fridge.

Dough

  1. Using a dough hook, mix Prima Doughnut Mix and water on low speed for 1 minute. Increase to medium speed for another 9 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Divide dough into 60g dough balls, rounding them by hand. Cover the dough and let it rest again for 1 hour at room temperature.
  3. Heat oil to 180°C and deep fry doughnuts until golden brown. Set aside to cool before decorating.
  4. Cut a slit at the side of the doughnut and pipe in the filling of choice. Dust doughnuts with icing sugar and serve.
